Students ages 7+ are eligible to begin learning Shotokan Karate, one of the most technically demanding of all martial arts but also one of the most rewarding.
The curriculum will be based on traditional JKA Shotokan Karate curriculum, as learned by Sensei Alejandro Enriquez at USKL in California. Sensei Enriquez claims tutelage by Sensei Ty Aponte, student of Hidetaka Nishiyama, student of Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan Karate. Sensei Enriquez also spent time learning under Sensei Jon Keeling, student of Masatoshi Nakayama.
The curriculum taught will make students eligible to take belt tests for advancement in Shotokan Karate. These tests are not mandatory.
